  • A Family Classic

A wonderful tale with inspired acting, an exciting storyline and strong directing. Watched it for the first time many years ago with my sons. They are now all in their 20s and we still share quotes, trivia and imitate the characters. A movie you must have in your DVD collection.

I am surprised at the high ratings here and on IMDB - 8 stars plus. I enjoyed it, a fun movie, amusing, touching. It has adventure and action as well, not to mention fantasy. But i just don't see iT as one of the best movies of all time. It's cute and amusing, but not to me, not much more than that.

This film is truly one for the entire family. No matter the generation or gender, this is a delight for all movie fans.Rob Reiner has, with the help of original author William Goldman, some stellar cinematography, moving music from Mark Knopfler and ingenuous performances from the entire cast, put a classic on film.If ever stumped as to what to get as a party gift, The Princess Bride never fails to fit the bill!
