Loved what I saw
Was so looking forward to seeing this movie after enjoying "Kim" as much as I did. Unfortunately, a visitor came in and caused me to miss the first part of the film. Once my company left, I was able to resume watching the movie. Errol is good in any kind of film (my own opinion of course), though he seems to work especially well with kids. I would love to see this film again in its entirety. Would you please show this one again real soon? It is such a neat little story. Thank you TCM.
Tip Top Flynn
Flynn was in the earliest part of his career, when he was enthusiastic and excited about his work and world renown. He was so young and robust that he could shrug off the effects of his many self destructive indulgences and show up for a great day's work. Flynn brought his uniquely genuine insouciance, charm, and energy to his portrayal of Miles.
The Prince and the Pauper (1937)
- James Higgins
This is such an enjoyable and wonderful film. It may not be the most faithful adaptation of the book, but it is the most entertaining version. The Mauch twins do a fantastic job, Errol Flynn is at his dashing best and a stellar supporting cast, with Claude Rains giving an outstanding performance. Great story, good production, excellent art direction and costumes. A delight.
After Blood, Before Hood!
This is a Mauch twin's film (as it should be) w/ Errol in a supporting role (he doesn't appear until about 50 minutes into the movie) but Flynn make's the most of his "limited" screen time as his amiable tongue-in-cheek self.A movie for the entire family!
A great adventure story. Errol Flynn is in fine form and makes the movie fun to watch. Interesting nut cracker!
Great Movie for the Family
This movie is fantastic. My children loved it as children and now they want it for their children. And I wouldn't mind seeing it again. The Mauch twins are excellent along w/Eroll Flynn and Claude Raines!
