Kim Novak The Notorious Landlady 1962
- Terry Christie
The Notorious Landlady is the comedy-drama in 1962 and starring the late Jack Lemmon
Glorious Kim Novak
- David Atkins
Kim Novak ended her celebrated career at Columbia Pictures ( Picnic, Pal Joey, Bell Book And Candle, Strangers When We Meet et al) with this great fun comedy mystery with Kim Novak starring with fine support by Jack Lemmon and Fred Astaire. Directed by Kim Novak's then beau Richard Quine, Ms. Novak was beautiful beyond measure, a fine actress and this is a fine movie. I recommend it!
Fun Movie rarely seen on cable
This is a wonderful movie with the duo of Lemmon and Novak. Fun to watch, yet rarely shown on TV. I would buy the DVD if it was available.
Why is this movie never mentioned.
- Lucy Drago
This movie is not listed under Jack L. or Kim N. movies. It was such an entertaining movie - it is never on and not listed under either star's movies.
Kim Novak, Jack Lemmon, Fred Astaire Star
- David Atkins
Kim Novak's star shone so brightly in the early 60's that Kim was given top billing over legends such as Fred Astaire and Jack Lemmon in this film her swan song at Columbia- the studio where Kim rose to grest stardom in films such as Picnic, Bell Book And Candle, and Middle of The Night, Strangers When We Meet et al. This murder mystery-comedy is a fine film that was shot in Big Sur and entranced Kim Novak so much she bought a house there and became her home base thereafter. Lemmon, and Astaire as always fine in this Richard Quine film but Kim Novak is the show...for she has never been and looked more Kim Novak than in this film.

This is a really good movie. I don't know why it has not been shown in years.
