First, I'm glad there are other reviews here, since it's not a very well known film. The chemistry between Gable and Lombard is so good, it's a shame that Paramount and MGM could not have brokered a deal to put them in more projects together. The story is a bit weak. She marries a gambler and doesn't realize it (what planet is she living on), but eventually he makes good by turning himself into the law (seems a bit extreme, and this is before the production code). Also, we have no way of knowing what his livelihood will be after his release from prison. Since he's still spinning lies to her at the end, who's to say he doesn't fall right back into gambling again? At any rate, it's a cute film because of the performances (including Dorothy Mackaill and Elizabeth Patterson).

I saw this film a couple of years ago and thought it was great! Both Carole Lombard and Clark Gable are wonderful in their roles. I highly recommend the movie! Please play this film on TCM - hopefully at night! Also please consider releasing this movie on DVD!!! I am a big fan of Carole Lombard, as well as of Clark Gable, and I would like to add this film to my DVD movie collection.

It is the only movie with Gable and Lombard and the chemistry is WOW!! This movie was made before they became a actual couple. Lombard is beautiful and sassy. Gable is wonderful. A MUST SEE ON DVD!!! Gable and Lombard fans will want this film in their movie library.
