I wasn't going to watch. I was totallycaptivated by the actor who played Nemichek. Why wan't this actor a juvenile star? He gave a moving beautiful performance. This movieis a gem

This is one of those movies that once you've seen it, you'll never forget. I saw this movie way back in the 60's and have been looking for it ever since. So thank you, TCM.

This is why I watch TCM. This movie carried me along its ethnic, cultural, and moral lines while gripping me back to a youth long past. This movie is for those of us that grew up in an era where we acted out childhood games. Where "good vs evil" was in the guise of cowboys, armies, martians, or pirates. We knew as kids what right and wrong was. We acted out these truths such as honor, bravery, and respect in these "games". Tis a pity that in these "politicaly Correct" times in many communities this is actualy illegal. I would very much like to have purchased this movie, but Turner has not made it available. I will of course purchase a Tvo device before it replays in March.
