The working title of this film was Going to Town. Hollywood Reporter noted that Nancy Carroll, the first choice for the role of Connie, was released from the film when she left for a vacation after shooting had begun. Helen Twelvetrees was pulled from the production of Fury of the Jungle to replace Carroll. Victor Jory was also pulled from the Fury of the Jungle production to replace Donald Cook, who had been the male lead opposite Carroll. Summaries in contemporary reviews mistakenly indicate that Connie was united with Chick, rather than Bradley at the end of the film.
