I absolutely love these movies! They are so fun to watch, even though they are about murder, most foul!

It has always seemed to me that certain characters are best remembered by one actor who had played the part. Just as I have always felt that Sean Connery will always be James Bond and Sidney Toler will always be Charlie Chan as well as Basil Rathbone will be the only Sherlock Holmes - so will Margaret Rutherford always will be Miss Marple. She will be sadly missed with among many others who have given so much pleasure in the movies.

I much prefer Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple. She is funny and believable.. The PBS version is not as strong a character. I only wish all of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple books had been full length films starring Margaret Rutherford accompanied by her real life husband, Stringer Davis.

Margaret Rutherford is a brilliant actress and makes a perfect Miss Marple. Expertly blends comedy with mystery, very entertaining and enjoyable. Very well written.
