Great Doris Day Film
- Sharon Phillips
It reminds me of My Favorite Wife with Irene Dunn & Cary Grant, but I love this modern updated version of the film during the '60's with Doris Day, she proved over & over to be very talented & a great person that could not only sing, but act as well!
This is a very funny movie. I enjoyed watching it and look for it every time they show it on TCM. Doris Day as always is adorable.
Move over, Darling?
A fine '60's comedy. Garner is married to Bergen, only to discover that his first wife, Day, is alive. The film is really funny and giddy, but has it's share of scenes only found in marital comedies. A product of it's time, this is an enjoyable, entertaining bone-tickler. I give it a 4/5.
The best scene...
is when Doris drives through the car wash in a convertible !
One of the "BEST" Movies I have seen in a long time. It was upbeat, funny and just overall wonderful!!!! I would recommend this pic to anyone.
Better than the original
Doris Day beats Irene Dune any day!
I love this movie. But then, I love the Cary Grant, Doris Day, Rock Hudson, etc.., movies. I love this comedy --- especially James Garner driving down the road imagining Doris aka "Eve" on the island with "Adam." We watched this on Mother's Day with the whole family and everyone liked it --- from age 16 to 80. I am looking forward to adding this to my collection --- I've been looking for it for a while!!! I suggest everyone should see this movie.
