So Glad to have finally seen this. Thanks TCM

I've wanted to see this film for ages and have not been disappointed, now I've finally seen it. Keyes and Ford are great together in this and 'The Mating of Millie'. It'a a pity they didn't make more films together! It's an unusual plot and Ford and Keyes play their parts superbly without making the script to schmaltzy.

A good story with a excellent script make this movie a must see. Ford gives it all he has to make Joe Miracle a reality.

Desperate for copy of this

If anybody has a copy of this film that they would like to sell,I would love to buy one. I despair of ever seeing it shown on TV channels. It would have to be DVD-R as I live in the UK.

The dice game scene between Stanley Clements and Glenn Ford alone make this movie worth watching: it's hilarious. Stanley Clements adds a comic touch to a very under-rated film.

Saw this film at Xmas and loved it it was on and old classic movie station and I thought it was a good film. Glenn Ford was so good as Joe, and Evelyn Keyes was just the best choice for the social worker this film would work today if Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan were the leads OR George Clooney & Nicole Kidman, a very fun holiday film that has a good message.

I remember seeing this movie every Christmas time when I was a child. I'm 52 now and was delighted that I remembered this classic to me, starring Glen Ford. I only wish it was available on DVD.
