  • A Dark Stormy Night When I Watched It

Another I Love A Mystery vintage.George Macready is Harry Wharton, falsely accused and convicted sentenced to hang, but saved in the nick of time by a crusading reporter.Has thrills, chills, comedy, and a wonderful job by Macready, who may not have been on the football team, but grabs the ball and runs for a touchdown here!Have watched repeatedly since getting the dvd this weekend.

  • One Heck Of A Psychological Thriller

Bannon is reporter who helps free Macready from prison just before he is to be hanged for a crime he didn't commit. On release,he is institutionalized, and "commits suicide" in hospital. From there,he whittles down the jury to there are only 5 left.So many perfect scenes along the way, plenty of non-stop suspense. Can't praise it enough!

Watched the dvd last nite.Great I Love A Mystery installment, though not releaed as such.Bannon is a reporter seeking to right an injustice to Wharton, convicted of murder, sentenced to die by hanging. From the start,Macready is a tough one to catch on to.He starts murdering the jurors. And he really makes this film what it is!Just watch his scene in the mental hospital, and the steamroom.Absolute classic!

  • George MacCreepy At It Again

This man just rocks as a psychopath.Another role as a psycho,he just runs with it.Everyone else has to try to catch up to him.As a convicted murderer with just barely time to spare before execution,he exacts revenge on those who convicted him.My favorite scene is Cullie's,with Mazurki giving the ole neck that almost was stretched a massage. And what's with the total coverup towel vs Bannon's more revealing one?New England modesty? So many great scenes, sit back and enjoy this gem, even better than George as Jefferson Monk in I Love A Mystery, the film.
