  A stylish thriller from Lang. Milland is a recently-released mental patient who becomes embroiled in a Nazi spy ring. Mysterious atmosphere & a thrilling, but somewhat predictable story makes this one of Lang's finest productions. Full of paranoia, this underrated film is good entertainment. I give it a 4/5.

  It seems absurb that a great film as this remains unavailable on DVD when so many inferior items are. One of Lang's great American films. The clock ticking, with Neal waiting to leave. The ticket for the train and the fete nearby. The fortune teller, the winning number for the cake, the appearance of Dan Duryea's character across the fete, and Mr Neal (Milland) getting the cake after all, the blind man on the train, the bombing, going to Scotland yard, searching the bombing scene for a trace of the blind man, piece by piece a great film. Questioning Cost (Duryea) at his tailor shop, the revealing shot with him, shears in hand, quite ominous. The shot through the door in darkness revealing the bullet hole in light, a device used over and over. It may be a 4 1/2 star film but I give it 5 for it's many great camera shots, and the neglect of late in the public eye.
