Loved this movie. Can't understand why TCM does not have it in their movie vault. Very disappointed.

This is one of my favorite westerns of all time. Sure it's not a classic like The Searchers or The Man With No Name Trilogy, but this is a very fun movie. Kirk Douglas is great in this, he gets to do a lot in this movie, even sing. I wish we could get a DVD release of this classic film, as I only get to watch it when I happen to catch it on TCM or AMC. If you do get a chance to watch it I promise you a good time. Great cast, great comedy and great action from King Vidor. And remember, "Sarsparilla and you'll have no regrets in the morning!"

Good western, but nothing much out of the ordinary for the time period. Professionally made, Kirk Douglas is good as always, not much attention to period detail. Entertaining but not a particularly memorable film.
