On a call to her father Anton, Maria describes her experience and her peculiar fascination this unfamiliar city. Two days later, Anton suddenly appears at Maria's hotel with a confession: Maria spent the first three years of her life in Buenos Aires during the military dictatorship at the end of the 1970s. The people she thinks are her parents adopted her and brought her to Germany as a toddler. This father and daughter begin a search for Maria's biological parents.
