I absolutely love this movie. I would love to find it in dvd. I still cry during certain scenes. like when lassie is taken away and when he returns. I only have the vcr tape but would love to have it in dvd to show my grandkids. Even my grown married daughter still watches it with me and we both cry!!. Its really a "feel good" movie.

I saw this movie with my children when it we first released. We all loved it!! I alternated between laughing and crying throughout the entire movie. It had 'heart' which many films do not have anymore. Yes, we all knew Lassie would be reunited with the boy but what a journey for all of us until that happened. This should be shown on TCM and it should also be available on DVD. I WOULD BUY IT FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN!

After I saw this wonderful movie, I have been looking everwhere to buy it. Debbie Boone sings "When You're loved" in it. Why is this movie not shown on tv like all the other lassie movies?

This movie with Jimmy Stewart was a sentimental one for my family. We watched it as kids and I can't find it anywhere. Jimmy Stewart was great in this film which I think was his last starring role. Jimmy Stewart also sings in this movie. Not to mention Mickey Rooney's great performance and singing as well. There is a great scene where they play the banjo but I can't remember the detai because I was only 6 yrs old. A true tearjerker. Is there a way to find this movie??
