Paramount also released a French-language version of the story, titled Parade d'amour. The Love Parade received Academy Award nominations in the Actor (Maurice Chevalier), Directing and Outstanding Production categories. Chevalier's nomination recognized his work in both this film and The Big Pond (see abvoe).
