Don't Waste Your Time . . .

. . . unless you enjoy comedies with no humorous moments whatsoever that fall completely flat. I agree with the reviewer below who says Albert Brooks has never been better. In every movie I have seen him in, he has never made me laugh, never piqued my interest, never showed any creativity. With this awful monstrosity, his record remains intact.

Like a horrible sitcom

Rented this ages ago from Netflix, and what a waste of time. Stupid, silly movie that seemed like a bad '80s sitcom. Haggerty talks as though English is her second or third language, and Brooks is so much better than this. Don't bother!

Lost in America

A terrific comedy that can create humour from things that supposibly aren't funny. Director-and-writer, Brooks & Hagerty are a yuppie couple who quit their jobs and buy an RV to discover themselves. All the cliche's of the road movie are here, but never are they boring to experience, especially with Brooks deadpan humour. A weak ending is the only drawback to an otherwise entertaining film. I give it a 4/5.

An Absolute Classic!!

This movie is a gem---Albert Brooks has never been better, and Julie Haggerty is fabulous, as two yuppies who chuck it all to "find themselves" in an RV cruising across America---my husband and I quote lines from this film to this day. The "nest egg" principle scene at the Hoover Dam is a scream. So glad TCM is showing this classic.
