The Legend Of Hell House
Very well done. It is a classic. Would watch at any oppertunity. Love it.
Roddy McDowall and Pamela Franklin(1973)
Uneven British Ghost Story of a haunted house and its secrets. Ben Fischer(Roddy McDowall) stars and gives his usual excellent performance.Florence Tanner(Pamela Franklin) provides the female input of the pyschic side. Early 70's production defines the material but that isn't a bad thing .NO CG, but some thrills and suspense. 4 stars out of 5 for star power and a decent script, that could have used a little tightening.
Legend of Hell House (1973)
- Lee Edwards
There is always one movie from the past that sticks out more then others and this movie is the one for me. I remember watching this movie and being scarred out of my wits, by suspense. Pamela Franklin an actress who has always played such interesting roles, outdid herself in this good little horror flick. The filming, music and hesitant plot I am sure will keep you in suspense through the whole thing. I only hope they play it on TCM someday soon!
The Legend of Hell House (1973)
- James Higgins
Spooky, and Pamela Franklin sure does give an eerie performance. I remember seeing this when it came out at the theater, it seemed a lot scarier in 1973! But it still has some punch and there are indeed creepy moments.
A Winner of a Scary Movie
A movie that still holds up. Creates nervous tension right from the start and keeps it going. Fun. Hope you show it again for Halloween!
One of the most under-rated horror films ever made. Very, very subtle - it's not what you see, but what you don't see that makes it work. Extremely creepy and atmospheric, with a cast that plays it just right.
