This movie showed the feeling of the time toward Villa by the local people. However, it also showed the violence and temper that Villa demonstrated to keep in power. He was evidently a very complicated man and I think this movie was a very worthwhile caratersation of the man and his followers. The movie followes a book I recently read... The Friends of Pancho Villa. His " friends " were in much danger due to his temper and instability. He was much loved by the peasents and feared by his inner circle. More sinner than saint... but this was a good portrayal. I wish it were on DVD so I could see it again and share with family and friends. Note: my grandparent fled Mexico to get away from Villa who ordered the death of my great Uncle and Grandfather for political reasons. He did me a great favor... I love to be an American!
