Entertaining Film!

The Kid From Spain is a winner. Cast and presentation are very good, the music and dance numbers are engaging, humor from begging to end and a terrific bull fight. Just plain fun.

Probable Error
- Michael Dudnikov

This is a wonderful Eddie Cantor vehicle with some great music by the legendary songwriters Bert Kalmar & Harry Ruby. However there is, I believe, an error in part of your cast identification. You list Sidney Franklin as playing himself, which is indeed accurate. However you then go on to identify him in detail as the fine director and occasional actor Sidney Franklin, whom I believe stopped acting in 1925. The individual in this film is most surely the famous Jewish-American bullfighter Sidney Franklin. And as the part in question is that of a bullfighter it would be one heck of coincidence if Samuel Goldwyn and Leo McCarey had engaged the other Sidney Franklin to act in that role.

Obviously made before any "decency commission" got a hold of it. Great fun, zany!
