Loved, loved this movie! My father, known as "Hooks McCoy", played baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers Farm Team when he was a young man and my grandsons have a copy of his team photo. They both play baseball and love the game. I wish this was on home video so that I could purchase a DVD for them both as a gift.

Outstanding movie. Had the attention of my grandsons and son-in-law throughout the movie. Makes you feel like you are a part of the movie. Brings back memories of the good days of baseball. Funny, serious, and dramatic. Great movie for kids and adults. Love it. Hope it comes out on DVD or that TCM will show it on TV.

This movie was released one year before I was born. I liked the acting of Billy Chapin in this movie. If you like Baseball (or don't) you will still love this movie. If it ever gets released I will buy this movie in a heartbeat. I already have Tobor the Great and Night of the Hunted with Billy Chapin. It is too bad Billy Chapin is not alive, because I would have loved to thank him for this movie.

This movie is a great classic. I remember my grandfather and I sitting down and watching this movie over and over when I was a young boy. I would suggest this movie to anyone to watch with kids. I have been wanting this movie to come out on DVD for a long time so I could buy a copy for myself and my grandfather.

This is a excellent family movie. Very heartwarming with humor. Enjoyed watching this with my grandson and introducing him to nostalgic black and white film. Great for baseball fans of all ages.
