This seems to be a last hurrah for a number of actors, but the thing that caught my attention was the fact that George Raft states that he is taking Guy Madison back to the States in a jet & the name of the film is "Jet Over the Atlantic",but when the flight crew warms up the engines you see that it's a 4-engine prop job!

When I posted a review for the camp airline disaster film "Zero Hour" (1957) a while back, I made a reference to another very similar film that was made two years later. I remembered the title as "Flight Across The Atlantic", but I now see that it's "Jet Over The Atlantic" (1959)(it's been so long since I've seen it I got it wrong). There were a couple of airline disaster films made before "Zero Hour" - "No Highway In The Sky" (1951) with James Stewart and "The High And The Mighty" (1954) with John Wayne, and a few after, including "The Crowded Sky" (1960), "Airport" (1970) and its three sequals, and the totally hilarious spoof of the genre "Airplane" (1980), based on both "Zero Hour" and "Jet Over The Atlantic". I asked then if TCM could air it soon, and now about nine months later I'm asking again TCM - please show "Jet Across The Atlantic" sometime.
