was a child in spain.. no tv there went to theater instead .. special treat.. went without knowing what was showing.. IT! was showing.. scared us so bad we had to leave.. and i've tried to find this movie ever since as an adult. I cant find it anywhere. this was 44 years ago.. it's about time someone put this on tv again? .. seems all the "new" stuff is making all the classics just go away. what a terrible loss.

  • Like a Hammer film w/Roddy McDowall

I saw this movie as a kid too, and remembered it to this day; the creepy "Golem" with its odd, pointy head not unlike some kind of strange tree-monster. The similarities between McDowall's character and Anthony Perkins' Norman Bates character are many, and the whole movie has this great, creepy atmosphere and feels just like classic Hammer films. I rediscovered it on a bootleg disk being sold on eBay, so c'mon whoever owns the copywrite - others are making money off your movie, so why shouldn't you?

  • I've looked for this movie for 20 years!

I saw this movie when I was 11 years old at school before Halloween. I remember our 6th grade science teacher telling us before "IT" started that he saw it when he was our age and it scared him to death. Me Too!!!I have looked for this movie everywhere since then. It was the best old scary movie I have ever seen. If this is not going to be put on dvd anytime soon, then I would like to know when "IT" will be on TCM, so I can watch it again. Thanks,Sharan
