  • I was the baby in this movie with Deanna Durbin.

I have an autographed photo of myself with Deanna in a scene on a train. She is singing to me. I was too little to remember it, but I'm glad to have the photos and letter from the studio. There were also newspaper articles and ads. The scenes on the train were cut from the final version of the movie, but I'm hoping that some day you will produce a dvd with all the original footage if it's still out there somewhere.

  • NOT a Preston Sturges film

Just wanted to clear up a certain fact about this movie! The multi-talented writer-director Preston Sturges DID NOT direct this Deanna Durbin movie. The original film that it is based on, THE GOOD FAIRY (Universal, 1935) starred the luminous Margaret Sullavan and was directed by her then-husband, William Wyler, was indeed written by Preston Sturges. However, this musicalized remake was helmed by yeoman director, William A. Seiter. It was a Universal property retooled for their star, Deanna Durbin, towards the end of her long-run at the studio.

  • ANOTHER DEANNA DURBIN FILM DENIED TO THE PUBLIC!

There are still several of Deanna Durbin's movies that have not yet been put on DVD. "I'll be Yours" is an example of one. This is a funny Preston Sturges film which also includes William Bendix, Adolph Menjou, and Tom Drake - 3 other classic actors. It's really sad that there are so many classic movies that the current generation has no possibility of seeing because studios refuse to release them on DVD. I believe that all these Deanna Durbin film rights are owned by Universal Studios, and they should be ashamed of themselves for sitting on them instead of releasing them to the world. Think again, and put them on DVD right away!
