FULL SYNOPSIS

powered by AFI

Tenderfoot John Abbott decides to venture West to survey his landholdings, which are being mismanaged by Henry Holderness. Holderness and his gang are trying to seize control of the entire desert territory, and to accomplish their goal, are terrorizing the ranchers in the territory. Upon his arrival, Abbott is shot by one of Holderness' henchmen and rescued by rancher Andrew Naab. Nursed back to health by Naab's daughter Miriam, Abbott falls in love with the girl, but Naab has been coerced into betrothing her to Snap Thornton, a member of Holderness' gang. Miriam returns Abbott's love, and on her wedding day, she runs away but is captured and held hostage by Holderness. This outrage galvanizes the ranchers in the valley, causing Abbott, Naab and the others to band together to rescue Miriam and rid the land of Holderness and his renegades.
