I LOVE Bob Hope but this one just doesn't work for me. I think too much time was given to the musical aspect of the movie and not enough to the comedy.
Great Hope of Comedy
Bob does it again with his shenanigans. This is another of Bobs solo good stuff. I wish it were on DVD
Here Come the Girls- full of laughs.
- Tom Holbrook
This short review is just to say this movie is full of laughs and great bits. Hope is a master showman and the rest of the cast is swell too. I enjoyed watching this movie although I am in my mid 40's. It is full of lots of fun and lots of laughs. ALSO: in the final 15 minutes of the stage show this movie revolves around, there are a number of scenes that involve a circus theme,...When the Clowns are called out there is a rare appearance of Art LaRue AKA: "The Circus Cop",...he is seen in full costume running about with his fellow clowns. (Note: Art LaRue was pictured in the pages of the very first Bozo the Clown record for Capitol Records; "Bozo at the Circus" 1946, and in the 1951 movie "Bozo's Circus" produced for Capitol Records by the great Elmo Williams). Grab a bowl of popcorn and enjoy "Here come the Girls" it is wonderfully fun. Tom Holbrook "The Bozologist"
