- Hannah and Her Sisters
A masterful and mature mix of comedy and pathos by Director, screenwriter and co-star Allen. The Oscar-winning story covers a year in a series of complex relationships among three sisters. This is the most impressive ensemble in any Allen film, with Caine and Wiest winning Academy Awards for their supporting performances. There is pain under the humour, being important to character and plot. A great film from Allen that shows that life is well worth living, and this is a picture worth watching. I give it a 5/5.
What a cast
What a cast, especially the women, Barbara Hershey, Mia Farrow, Carrie Fisher, Julie Louis Dreyfus, Maureen O'Sullivan (Tarzan's lovely young Jane). Any one of them would be a joy to have in the sack.
Another Woody Allen masterpiece
Hannah and her Sisters has a great cast of characters and Woody Allen creates another splended film. A true marvel at work in both acting and Directing.
