Green Fire a jewel of a film

Based on a true story (the book Green Fire), ofcourse the film changes a great deal from the book, a good deal of the film was shot on location in South Amercia, there are accounts Grace Kelly did not care for Stewart Granger, but by other accounts the two got along very well later when Granger moved to Europe, the location filming could have been the cause of Kelly's feelings, she wanted to do more urban films, and she had just finished Mogambo in Africa. Granger fit so well into in the jungle adventures, Paul Douglas is great in his role, as a bit of trvia did you know Stewart Granger's real name it was James Stewart (but Hollywood could not have two).
