Fun movie to watch!!!
- maureen v.v.
I love watching this movie. It has adventure, excitement and special effects(creatures). For months after I watch it, I always think "Trust in Allah, but tie up your camel". A must see for all SF fans.
Luv it !
I've seen this film before. Loved it then, and am looking forward to viewing it again tonight. Mr. Harryhausen was a genius with a gift he used to make these films so much more enjoyable to us. This gift continues to give to us today, even though Ray Harrryhausen is no longer with us. If you enjoy good fantasy films with terrific special effects, you will enjoy this film. Try it !
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad
I personally love this movie. There was adventure, love and mystical qualities that made this movie magical to me. I will certainly tune in on Sunday for both of the Sinbad movies.
Weakest Entry of the Harryhausen Legacy(1973)
Well, a total let down of the Harryhausen Legacy, if there had to be a clunker, this one is it ! Sinbad(John Philip Law) totally miscast as the subdued hero, delivers a regrettable/forgettable performance for the ages. Given a script that has little to offer, Sinabd receives a mystreious golden piece of jewelry that has mystical properties. Anyway, Sinbad must go on a quest to solve the riddle of the "Golden Map." Uninspiring, boring, mundane are the only words to decribe this misguided tale. I suppose reflective of the times, early 1970's. Wait for a better film, to make best use of your time. 1 star out of 5, and that is probaly one more than it deserves. See 7th Voyage of Sinbad for extraordinary entertainment.
