Selma, Cynthia, and Arlene are among a group of coeds who arrive to spend the summer in the sorority beach house. They meet Duke, Brian, and Wayne and enjoy the music of Lesley Gore, The Beachboys, and The Crickets at the local nightclub. The fun is interrupted, however, when the girls learn that the sorority housemother has given all their funds to charity. With the house in danger of closing, the girls begin a series of projects to raise money, but the situation still seems hopeless until the boys boast of knowing The Beatles. Believing that The Beatles have agreed to fly from England to perform in their behalf, the girls arrange for a musical show and begin its full-scale promotion. Realizing just before the opening of the show that they have been victims of a hoax, the girls desperately attempt an impersonation of the famous British group, but the audience is not deceived. Fortunately, the audience is mollified, and the show ends as a big success. Nightclub scenes include : The Beachboys singing "Little Honda" and "Girls on the Beach"; The Crickets singing "La Bomba" and "Lonely Sea"; and Lesley Gore singing "I Don't Want To Be a Loser," "It's Gotta Be You," and "Leave Me Alone."
