TO ALL WHO HAVE WATCHED, THE CAR USED IN THE GET AWAY SEEN IS THE CAR BELONGING TO MY GRAND FATHER DENNIE L JONES. HE IS SAID TO HAVE DRIVEN THE AMIGOS BACK AND FORTH ACROSS THE BORDER FOR THE MAKING OF THE MOVIE. I ALSO HAVE A PHOTO OF THE CAST ALONG WITH MY GRANDFATER IN FRONT OF THE MISSION HOLDING THE CAR DOOR OPEN. HIS SON HAS WATCHED AND CONFIRMED HIS DAD AS THE DRIVER OF THE GET AWAY CAR.

  • Funny movie worth seeing

This is a funny spoof of all kinds of movie cliches and stereotypes. It does bog down a bit in places. but in general has a lot of zip and silliness that is fun to watch. A huge plus for me is Harold Huber as Leo Carillo's droll, deadpan sidekick (I wish TCM would devote a day to his films!) and there's Nino Martini taking a "break" from the Met, and those cuties singing in the radio station.... Don't expect highbrow entertainment, just a lot of fun!

  • Much funnier than I expected

    • Gretchen
    • 10/7/11

This comedy has a much more modern feel than you would expect of a 1936 film. It is very silly, similar to a Martin Short, or other SNL character comedy. As a bonus, the singer has an outstanding voice.
