This was a very enjoyable movie. The cast seemed just perfect for each of their parts. Carole Lombard was very good playing the " gold digging moll", as were each member of her supporting cast. Chester Morris seemed perfect for his roll. I think the comedies of this era were very entertaining and Carole was very good in them. Although Rochester had only a small part as a shoe shine (boy) man I think he too should have been in the credits. I would give this movie an overall rating of 5, not only for the talented actors/actress' but for the director, producer and thru the credits down to the makeup and hair personnel. Only one statement about the wardrobe, was I the only one who thought ZaSu Pitts' blouse, in the one scene looked as if spaghetti had been thrown on it? It was interesting, to say the least.

Loved this movie. Enjoyed Carole, Chester, Nat (think he's underappreciated), Leo Carrillo and his "braims". Can't wait to see it again!

This film needs to be rediscovered by modern fans of screwball/gangster comedy. Lombard and Morris are at their best. The supporting cast consists of some very fine character actors, including ZaSu Pitts and Leo Carrillo. It's not the world's best script, but there are some good scenes...like the one where Lombard knocks a man out on her wedding day, or when she forces her new husband to draw up a will. And I loved the scene where Morris kissed the other guy after saving his life. It's an inspired comedy with funny, unpredictable moments.

I have never seen a movie staring Carole Lombard that was not worth watching over and over again... Wish this movie was available.....

This picture may not have been considered any goodwhen it was originally released in 1934 but I think it's aged pretty well and is funny.. Carole Lombard is very good/funny. Chester Morris, who always seems so stoic is very appealing.
