  • One of the best Westerns ever made

    I only saw this film once and it was many years ago, not long after I had unexpected found myself in a contemporary version of what the West was once. And I recall how surprised I was by how accurately this B-move comedy seemingly portrayed aspects of the characters of the world I then inhabited. But as I have since finally understood more about who we were and what we did and why we did it, I've often wondered what seeing this film again would be like. Would it now seem even more true to the life I once led - or would it have become just another old movie, no different than a hundred others.
