  • A Whimsical Charles Bronson?

    • 9/10/10

This movie is completely out of character for Charles Bronson who spent his career playing grim, tough and violent men. Here see that he had a fine sense of humor as he pokes fun at himself. I love this movie -- it makes me laugh out loud.

A pleasant surprise for Charles Bronson fans (and possibly non-Charles Bronson fans) in this low key broad comical romanceset in the west. A sort of sweet mix and de-mythologicalization of harlequin romance and western. Bronson is a no-good bank robber and outlaw who holds up in a widower's ranch while the heat dies down from his gang's recent robbery. A romance brews between him and the widower which wields unpredictable results lending some bittersweet and even tragic results.
