The working titles of this film were They Shall Walk and They Shall Have Faith. The picture was first released in Los Angeles under the title They Shall Have Faith, and was reviewed under that title by most sources. According to a mid-August 1944 Hollywood Reporter news item, Monogram held a contest to pick a new title, and Pvt. Pasquel Ciocci of Camp Shelby, Mississippi, won a $1,000 war bond for convincing the producers not to change the title. By the time of the film's general release, however, the title had been changed to Forever Yours. A Hollywood Reporter news item adds George Noakes to the cast, but his appearance in the final film has not been confirmed. The medical treatments depicted in the film had no basis in fact; the vaccine for polio was not developed until the 1950s.
