I found it a good movie, Good special effects as far as the "Flood" goes, interesting story line and a surprising amount of sexuality from Anne Heywood for 1958. I'd watch it again.

One of the best B/W movies from the late '50s I have ever seen! I have NEVER seen this movie before. Where was this one hiding? We associate Howard Keel with singing, but he was a great dramatic actor as this proves. Absolutely superb to see this for the first time. It reminded me a little bit of the Jean Simmons movie with a convict and policeman conflict, "A Bullet is Waiting." Thank you TCM for this treat on a hot (>100 degree) day on my day off.
