  • The sexy men in "The Fighting Coast Guard"

    • 5/5/12

1st saw this movie probbly when I was 13. It thrilld me! Why? Candidly... I was born in 1939 & by th time I saw it I would go ga-ga wild! whenvr I saw a v muscular guy! I ddn't know what gay was - they ddn't use that term back then, of crse. I had no idea abt ANY sexuality or sexual practices growng up - I ddn't see it, ddn't do "it"; it certnly wasn't discussd. I ddn't know how babies were creatd, what heteros did, yet alone that any othr guy got xcitd over msclmen. When I realized I was queer - that was th term I frst heard used in 7th grade/1st yr in jr hi school - then I undrstood I was one of "those" & there must b othrs like me! I sure knew that ONLY v musculr guys excitd me (palpatatns & my brain would literally do flip-flops!) - while th most beautfl, curvaceous girls did nthng for me. I've nevr had an erection seeing or thinkng abt women - no matter how pretty or sexy they were (to strght guys) - but I could certnly tell when a female was gorgeous & sexy! And I genuinely LIKED th female species - preferrd them, in fact, as the more undrstandng/"civilizd" part of humanity - but like most 100% gay guys - I jst could NOT get sexlly excitd over them - even if I were nkd in bed w a harem of them!) So, this movie: OVRLOADeD w sxy, musculr guys! Richrd Jaeckel (would gt evn more msclr in later flms), Wm Murphy (oh,YES!), John Russell, evn Brian Donlevy was a personifacatn o virility. And in th wrestlng scene: Eric Pedersen, as hndsme/msclr=sxy as a dude cld b! They hd hm thrwn up hgh & then droppd - used th same loop over, what a glorious body he had! Bless him! I hope he had as good a life as any human could hv enjoyd, but knwng life, probbly not... Bless him! And any & all of his progeny.

As a young service man of 17, my father stated he was filmed holding a flag during a marching routine in the making of the Fighting Coast Guard movie. He has tried to find it, I have tried to locate a DVD, but none or available yet. Please, release this DVD soon , there isn't much time left for the remaining men who served in the Guard during the war, to view it. Linda

As the nations oldest continuous seagoing armed service, the U.S. Coast Guard landed troops all over the world during World War II. Sinking submarines in the Atlantic, manning over 900 USN vessels in the Pacific/Atlantic, and having participated in every war since its inception, the U.S. Coast Guard's participation in WWII is partially told here as officer recruits are sent to Reserve Officer Training School at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.We follow the exploits of these men who learn to work with one another during demainding times at the Academy and then again when they are shipped off to war.Great movie.Semper Paratus

  • Fighting Coast Guard now a Cult Classic

This movie has been buzzing the websites and chat rooms of late because of the revival of the Arm Services and Wrestling/MMA. The movie features an old classic wrestling match which was popular among the service guys back in the 50's. Wrestling and MMA among the service men has returned making this movie even more a classic to the many Marines and service men who see this film as making one of the first to highlight the friendly wrestling competitions among the enlisted men in the 50's.Chachi
