A SHAME THIS HARDY FAMILY FILM ISN'T ON DVD

This is the first film of the Andy Hardy collection, but starring Lionel Barrymore as the father and Spring Byington as the mother, and Mickey Rooney as Andy. It was made in 1936 and is the story of Judge Hardy facing political opposition during re-election. This movie features the entire Hardy family instead of focusing mainly on Andy Hardy. Why not release ALL of the Andy Hardy series, in order, as a DVD collection? It would sell like hotcakes!

The first in the Andy Hardy series is more focused on the entire family, rather than just Mickey Rooney's character. It's a fine film though, simple, to the point and enjoyable.
