  • Script Needs Reviving(1969)

"Dracula Has Risen From the Grave" but the script is on life support as Dracula(Christopher Lee) and cast struggle to maintain any dramatic credibilty in this installment. Monsignor(Rupert Davies) and Priest(Ewan Hooper) go on a quest to seal off Castle Dracula from the towns folk, but in a twist of fate the Priest inadvertently releases" Drac" baby and his evil is on the loose once again. The cast do a fine job of pushing this behemoth foreward as well as they can. Maria(Veronica Carlson) and Paul(Barry Andrews) are the two star-crossed lovers. You have to wonder if the Director(Freddie Francis) actually read the script as he seems clueless as to keep the pace moving more quickly.Zena(Barbara Ewing) gets my guilty pleasure award, yummy... Watch the film if you have the time, and patience...3.5 stars out of 5.

  • Wearing a little thin

    • 8/12/12

This third Christopher Lee 'Dracula' film from Hammer Studios and the fourth in the Dracula series starts to wear a little thin. It's always good to see Lee as Dracula but they could have given him a better script to work worth. Two stars.

  • Another hit by Hammer Studios

    • Greg
    • 8/1/10

Christopher Lee is cementing his position as one of the best ever to play Count Dracula. Lee's presence brings terror and horror to the movie. The final battle is one of the best battles of good vs evil.
