  • A Tribute to Joan Fontaine at TCM

I was surprised to read in this review that Joan Fontaine hasn't been featured a tribute at TCM. Why was Joan underrated by Hollywood? At this day and age, just look at how much the young generation give tribute to her in You-tube, in blogs, etc. These only meant that in the digital age her talent, versatility, performance and beauty is very much recognized and accepted by the masses, like I am. Joan has the best movies and great performances. She is also an Oscar awardee. Hope the Oscar's pay her a tribute while she's alive. More power! Joan forever and Mabuhay! By the way, through this movie and the succeeding movies she did, showed how she improved and perfected herself, even her voice and diction improve through out the '40s and beyond.

  • Fun little movie

TCM has shown this movie but not for at least 5 years. It's along the lines of a screwball comedy typical of the 1930's. It is however the screen debut of Joan Fontaine. It seems to me it is high time TCM showcased her as a star of the month. She is one of only a handful of old hollywood contract players still alive. Both she and her sister Olivia de Havilland are in their 90's now! Hey TCM they won't be above ground much longer!!!! NO TIME TO WASTE!!!!
