This is one of Disney's best I think. The costuming is wonderful and the actors are top-notch. Albert Sharpe is the quintessential Darby and I believe that Connery's appearance was he first one here in the US. From the Banshee to the King of the Leprechauns it is all good. There is something here for everyone in the family and at the ripe old age of 58 I watch it every year around this time. I really appreciate seeing it with the original voice track too as I had tried for a long time to find a copy when my kids were little and when I did?...they had dubbed out the brogue! Very disappointing. So the search went on until I found the 'right' one with the 'right' voices. Don't miss this one it just isn't St Patrick's Day for me without it.

Lavishly produced and it shows. Vivid art direction and cinematography, fine costumes, well edited and the special effects are terrific. Beautifully done. It is a bit slow on occasion, but overall the film is quite good.
