Nice film...

This isn't close to one of the best films on TCM but it's entertaining for what it is. Completely fictional in every way and not historical in any way but it manages to hold interest. Jourdan and Lee give good performances and Keith Mitchell is wonderfully menacing as the villain in this tale; however, the real star is the young Dauphin, expertly played by Richard O'Sullivan. The kid could act! A pleasant way to spend an afternoon watching film, though...

I loved it

I thought it was good film and the costumes were beautiful that Belinda Lee wore. I loved the whole idea of the film and I was sad to find out that its not realized on DVD because I would of loved to have ordered it and added it to my collection of films. It's not the best film ever made, but I thought it was very good and very different from other 1950s period films I've seen before. Overall a very enjoyable film worth seeing again. Thanks TCM for showing it because I would have never known about it otherwise. Cheers to you!
