The Courtship of Eddie's Father 1963
- Davean Williams
- 4/4/13
The actors and actresses are exquisite.Ronny Howard actually is courshipping for his father Glenn Ford(Tom). Stella Stevens and Norman are the perfect match.Norm hits his last bat and ball when he captures Stella's intellegence over her beauty and I watch this movie at least 2 times per week.I am currently trying to locate the song by Victor Young and score by George Stoll, "The Butterfly and the Rose." Five Star rating

Okay little film. Ford is dull, though. Howard is cute and sweet. Jones is endearing. Van Dyke and Sherwood shine. Merrill is beautiful. Stevens is annoying.

As a child I was used to the weekly TV Series and had a hard time watching the movie. Years later watching the it was fun. Made for a nice Sunday afternoon.

Courtship very much like Sleepless in Seatle

I just love this movie. I love watching Ronnie Howard, Glenn Ford and Shirley Jones. Of course Jerry Van Dyke and Stella Steven are great, love the bowling and drum scene. Dina Merrill is beautiful. Has anyone notice how similiar Sleepless in Seattle's plot is to this one. Widow's son's plays matchmaker, the son's both want one girl, they both run away. Neither son likes the girlfriend, one has squinty eyes and the other has a terrible laugh. I could go on and on. Watch Courtship and then watch Sleepless. Nora Ephron did the samething here as she did with Shop Around the Corner and You've Got Mail. I love all these movies.

I really enjoyed seeing this movie. Ron Howard is the CUTEST little thing. The way he puts things in perspective and the way he says it is priceless. Glenn Ford played wonderfully in the movie. The cast complimented each other very well. I strongly suggest seeing this movie, it's soooo funny. One of the reasons that I love the movie is simply because Ron Howard appears in it. I've only seen it twice on TCM, I hope TCM would play this movie more often, it would be much appreciated, believe me this movie is GOOD!

I love watching the film called, "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" through TCM. This film is for all ages and it's fun and witty. I recommend this film to be seen by young and old people, because this film is educating and has good moral values. By the way, when can I be able to watch, "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" again through TCM in Holland ?
