I'm a bit confused, has this movie been banned from showing or airing ?? This would be a catastrophe if so! I also would love to see VICKI SUE NUZUM'S John Wayne's Quilt !!! Is there a way for TCM to contact her through her e-mail and express my thoughts and give her my e-mail? Now will TCM be airing this movie? Has the radio activity dissipated enough since 54-55 so one can safely visit the location site? To many questions for this small QWERTY!

I am an avid quilter that has been building a picture collection of John Wayne to transfer to fabric. I must admit seeing him in costume for this movie has made me giggle. The more I read about it though, the more I do believe we should be able to view it. I would like to form my own opinion. It sounds like John was out of character, but still doing what he does best. I would greatly appreciate it if TCM would show this movie. TCM could advertise it as a one and only showing. I believe many would respond and form their own opinion, isn't that what makes America great? PLEASE CONSIDER IT.

  • The Conqueror - One Of The 10 Worst?

If I have ever seen "The Conqueror" I can't remember when it was. I do know that I saw it listed as one of the 10 worst films ever made, but not ever remember seeing it I can't really agree with that. I also know that it is famous (or infamous) for the fact that it was filmed near an A-bomb test site in Utah and that everyone connected with the film eventually got cancer and died because of the radioactive fallout from those tests. Show it sometime on TCM so that I can see for myself whether or not it deserves to be called one of the 10 worst films ever.

I am a HUGE John Wayne Fan. This film is just another in Mr. Wayne's long film career. The Conqueror is a great change in character for Mr. Wayne, but role is very much in line with the roles he portrayed in many of his Westerns. As a history buff, I find this film a nice change of historical time frame. I would like to see this film make it to DVD as it is currently not available. I would think that as popular as John Wayne is, this film would be available to his fans. I rate it **** 1/2 Stars out of Five Stars and worth watching.
