Edward Arnold at his best. Fine cast and presentation make this movie compelling to watch. Frances Farmer is one of the most beautiful and talented actresses in Hollywood history. Sadly, her life was a tragedy.

This was only the second time I have seen this film and I wish you would show it more often. I LOVE IT!! Not enough is said about Edward Arnold who was a fabulous character ator. Please show more of his films. All the other actors were wonderful also, and that gorgeous Joel McCrea. I have always been a big fan of Walter Brennan. Thanks TCM.

Edward Arnold is one of the best. And what a supporting cast ! Francis Farmer is breathtaking. A young Joel McCrea...what a handsom lad. Walter Brennan, the ever authentic actor. And Mady Christians...

I happened to come across this movie by chance. I never saw a movie with Frances Farmer and was not even familiar with Edward Arnold. What a great suprise. The acting was wonderful and the movie was heart warming. A must see. The last minute of the movie just wrapped it all together for me. Try to cathc this one on TCM.
