  • One of the best movies ever made

This has to be one of the best movies ever made, this is how families should be,remake is not as good!

  • Family entertainment

Wonderful movie! I have watched it since age nine and enjoy it more and more. Please note it is based on the life of a real family and Hollywood IS known to take liberties with the script.

  • Really good film.

It's about a big family in a big house that is filled with love and laughter. This is a ton of fun, and a great look at a different, and in many ways, better time and way of life. I particularly enjoy the scene with "Only 18 miles from national headquarters!".

  • Love this move

I have seen this movie many times over the years and I still watch it when TCM plays it. It is a great story and Clifton Webb is excellent in it. SPOILER ALERT. Too bad he dies in the end. It would have been great to have an original Cheaper By The Dozen 2. The newer movie with Steve Martin doesn't compare.

This movie was so pointless and offensive that I had to turn it off fifteen minutes into it. If this film is based on a real family then I pity the children. If the father (who Webb plays as a split-personality type) was so into his children's health and natural well-being then how in the space of two seconds could he suddenly agree to have his kids' tonsils removed on the say-so of a money-grubbing quack? Not only that, but he agrees to the needless operation himself and then wants to film it! Oh, but then he's insane, isn't he? Humor? Not hardly. Good parenting? Not bloody likely. * (only because you can't register a zero)

  • Great Movie

I have watched this movie so many times. It is one of the greatest movies that I have in my collection. It's one of those movies that I can watch and watch again right away. I wish they still made movies with this caliber and not with all the violence and bad language in them.

Loved this movie, the new version was ok but this one is great. I must have watched this movie 20 times by now...
