Captain Eddie

This is a movie I always enjoyed. Eddie Rickinbacker lived an interesting life. Race car driver, America's W.W. I ace of aces, Indianapolis 500 Speedway owner and founder of Eastern Airlines. He even had a car named after him! Eddie was still recovering from plane crash injuries when President Roosevelt asked him to go on a special fact finding mission in the Pacific Theater. The plane he caught a ride on crashed in the Pacific. The movie then flashbacks to his life story. I loved it! Fred MacMurray did his usual great job! Come on TCM bring it back! I haven't seen it in years!

This film should be of great interest to our young of today who are interested in that period of our nation and World War One to World War Two. A film which keeps one interested due to the span of time envolved, advances in aircraft and what occured.
