A boy and a girl, both 15, meet and fall in love. Shattered by his first encounter with death in a motorcycle race, the Boy makes love for the first time; he feels confused and seeks advice from an attractive older woman, who helps him explore his consciousness with LSD. Mr. Christian, a sympathetic and wealthy stable owner, offers the Girl his love along with the gift of a horse. Tiring of the Boy's monotonous declarations of devotion, the Girl runs off to Mr. Christian, leaving behind the days of innocent awakening.
