Under appreciated classic

- 8/17/09
This is, without a doubt, one of THE classic aviation movies of all time, It realistically depicts the airmail flying era as well as The High and The Mighty presented 1950's airline flying. Both movies are from books by Ernest K. Gann. In addition, the cast is excellent. It's not just a good flying movie, like The High and The Mighty, it's a wonderful character study. This time of four brothers coming of age in aviation's "Golden Era".
