The Best Things--Al Jolson

Too bad Al Jolson himself had passed away and could not play himself, but the guy playing him did well. So Sonny Boy was written as a joke--it is still touching and sweet.

Love Gordon MacRae

I love evey movie I've ever seen with Gordon MacRae...My only disappointment with this movie was that he didn't sing more in it..His version of Birth of the Blues just sends chills up my spine....Please show more of his movies so that another generation can enjoy the great talent of Gordon MacRae. Sincerely a grateful fan.....

It was thru this movie with gordon macrae using the ukelele for musical ideas for their shows, that I wanted one. As a teenager, a friends mother played one and we had so much fun singing at house parties & on the beach. Anyone can play even using 3 or 4 cords. I bought them for my grandsons as little guys 8 & 10 years of age and they now play guitars. they want to see the movie & I can't find it. I would so appreciate being able to purchase a couple of them. It was one of my favorites & I saw it on TCM a few years back & all my intrest was renewed. Please! help us. thank you.
