This is a quality film about a remarkable woman who overcame a miserable childhood to become one of the most important persons of the 19th Century. The acting, direction, settings and music score are all top notch. The film shows Victoria is as human as the rest of us, but who is also determined to be a unifying force of a great nation.

Exquisitely produced, the costume design deservedly won an Academy Award. Excellent art direction and cinematography. The casting is ideal and Emily Blunt shows her acting range quite well. She is impressive. It's an interesting story, believably presented. The pacing is excellent, especially for a period piece. Fine score. Lavish and mesmerizing, it has a subtle quality about it that is very appealing.
